Powapacs exhibited at DVD 2026 at UTAC Millbrook on 16 and 17 September, bringing the HSR M-Spec deployable power range, Xray expansion packs and the ARC renewable energy harvesting family: solar, wind and hydro.

DVD is where the British Army’s land equipment community takes stock, and this year the conversation was fuel. Every kilowatt-hour harvested at the point of use is fuel that does not have to move along the line of communication, and every silent power source is a command post that is harder to find.

Working with the Land Systems Programme

Alongside the stand, Powapacs submitted a formal position note to Dstl’s Land Concept Integration Catalyst (ConICL) team, proposing a Dispersed Sustainment Power Node demonstrator built entirely from in-production equipment, and arguing for a common power and charging standard across future land systems so that each new capability stops arriving with its own incompatible battery and charger.

In service today

Powapacs equipment is in service with a NATO corps headquarters formation and with specialist UK Army users, with demonstrations and business cases in progress across Army Air Corps, Royal Signals, armoured and operational sustainment formations. The HSR architecture is protected under UK patent application GB2507590.4, and equipment is available to defence buyers through CP&F (NCAGE U2BF0).
